1. Introduction

Welcome to TabCam. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information when you use our Chrome Extension.

2. Data Collection

We do not collect any personal data. TabCam operates entirely locally on your device. We do not track, collect, or transmit any data related to your browsing history, recordings, personal identity, or device information to any external servers.

3. Recordings

All screen, window, and tab recordings processed by TabCam are saved directly to your local hard drive. We do not have access to your recordings, nor do we upload them to the cloud or any third-party services.

4. Permissions Used

  • tabs & activeTab: Used exclusively to select and capture the content of the browser tab you wish to record, and to inject the recording control bar.
  • storage: Used to save your local recording preferences (like default quality or audio settings). This data remains on your device.
  • downloads: Used strictly to save the final recorded WebM video file to your local computer.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
